I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
