An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
